Agenda for Parish Council meeting 14th September 2023

Any questions not presented to the council far enough in advance of the meeting may be noted and responded to at a later time.

To review the action list.

6. Correspondence received since the last meeting (requiring council attention)

None needing council attention. Relevant items added to agenda.

7. Village playing fields

·         To receive two playground inspection reports and consider any remedial work required

·         To discuss the receipt of a black wheelie bin from the borough council for the playing fields

8. Village welfare

·         To update the council on work carried out by the Volunteer Team in the village

·         To agree to the purchase/payment of maintenance items used in the village

·         To discuss lifebuoy maintenance

·         To discuss defibrillator maintenance

·         To confirm the actions taken to resolve the issue of trees overhanging Parkside

 9. MP Richard Fuller

To receive any relevant feedback from Cllr Snowball’s meeting with MP Richard Fuller.

 10. Planning matters

·         To receive a report from Neighbourhood Plan Implementation Working Group

·         To consider any planning applications received since the last meeting – includes any received after the agenda is issued up to the date of the meeting.

·         To note any planning applications decided by the borough council since the last meeting.

o    Approved: 23/01276/FUL 1 Arkwright Road. Demolition of single storey side outbuilding and erection of a 2 storey side extension and a new oak framed front porch. The Parish Council had no objections.

11. Finance

·         To approve payments and note income

·         To note the budget variance report

·         To note the balances

·         To receive the outcome of the external audit on the 2022/23 annual accounts by Mazars – no issues identified.

12. Borough Councillor Report

To receive a report from Borough Councillor Martin Towler

13. Business for future agendas (No actions can be taken on items not on the agenda)

 14. Litterpicker role

·         To resolve that, under Section 1 Paragraph 2 of the Public Bodies (Admission to meetings) Act 1960, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the next item of business due to the confidential nature of staff matters.

·         To discuss any modifications required to the litterpicker role.
